Basic Makeup Essentials For Beginners and Beauty Experts
I think it’s obvious that I wear makeup every day. 😆 After all, my career is centered around beauty and it’s my true passion. Some days I want to do it up and get playful and creative with my look. Other days, I prefer the essentials.
I use these few, gotta-have products to bring benefits to my skin and create an au-naturel, minimalist look. Or when I’m going full-face and fancy, I use these as a great base to get my look started. These are my go-to products I use every day — perfect on their own or as the foundation of something fabulous.
Here’s the “How & Why” I use these products.
How: Start by giving your face a good base with our Salicylic Acid-enhanced Anti-Blemish Matte Primer. After cleansing, I squirt a small amount on the back of my hand and use my finger to rub the product in circular motions all over my face and neck.
Why: It’s oil-and-fragrance free to help avoid your pores from clogging, and packed with Vitamin E, Aloe, Ginseng, and Gingko Biloba Extract. It keeps my skin healthy, clear, and bright by aiding in calming redness and reducing inflammation — all while leaving a soft, elegant glow.
How: Once the Primer is set, I apply our award-winning Soft Focus Hydrate + Set Powder with a brush to evenly distribute the product on my face. Store this one in your bag, because it’ll come in handy for touchups later in the day.
Why: It's packed with Allantoin to soften and promote the look of healthy skin as it sets out to blur fine lines and creases. The Hyaluronic Acid binds and holds moisture to naturally plump the appearance of skin through hydration.
How: Last but not least, I apply our original Essential Lip Enhancer to keep my lips hydrated throughout the day. Apply directly on your lips or use your finger to rub a full sweep of gloss to the bottom lip, then press lips together. (Tip: Use this at night before you go to bed, too!)
Why: This glossy balm is formulated with Jojoba Seed Oil, Maxi Lip, & Shea Butter to keep lips conditioned and soft.
